Kuba Szreder

A lecturer at the WBASK Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. After completing his sociology degree at Jagiellonian University, he worked as an independent curator of interdisciplinary projects, combining (post)art, critical reflection, and social engagement. In 2015, he defended his doctoral thesis at Loughborough University School of the Arts on the political and economic aspects of independent curatorial projects. He is a co-founder and active participant in para-institutional research centers such as the Free Warsaw University and the Center for Possible Economics in London, post-artistic networks and associations like the nationwide Consortium of Post-artistic Practices or the Bureau of Post-artistic Services, as well as professional unions advocating for improved working conditions in the contemporary art scene. He is the editor of numerous books and catalogs, as well as the author of texts in the fields of sociology, economics, and art theory published in Poland and beyond its borders. His latest book, “ABC of Projectariat: Living and working in a precarious art world,” was published in 2021 by Manchester University Press and Whitworth Museum.
